Ryan L. Marlatt is Of Counsel with the firm and received
his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas in Austin in
1998. He went on to attend South Texas College of Law, where
he graduated in 2001. While attending law school Ryan attained
the position of Notes Editor on Currents, International Trade Law
Journal, and finished with two publications to his credit.
In addition he was a brief writer on the nationally acclaimed South
Texas College of Law Moot Court team. Ryan also gained admittance
to The International Legal Fraternity, Phi Delta Phi. Ryan
is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, as well as the
United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, as well as
the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and
Northern Districts of Texas.
After school, Ryan chose to focus his career on defending both individuals
and business from the risks and liabilities facing them in the complex
world of civil litigation. Mr. Marlatt has been involved in
nearly all manner of such cases, including Dram Shop liability, construction
accidents, commercial disputes, medical malpractice, premises liability,
and first and third party insurance defense. In doing so, he
has represented clients ranging from large multinational companies
to individuals in complex business disputes and personal injury litigation,
and understands the client expectations related to such representations.
This practice has led to first chair trial experience in both judicial
and administrative proceedings.
